We buy our passes early to get the best rates and look for deals on gear for our kids. If you have one, take advantage of it not just for heat, but also the ambiance of it. Even taking the family to a movie adds up very quickly. Many people pay to have them sucked up off their lawn as well as having them removed from their gutters. From a cost savings perspective, if you have a fireplace or gas logs considering using them. Natural gas is cheap (historically) and can lower your heating cost vs an equivalent electric unit. Of course you can always throw on a sweatshirt :) Don’t forget those fall leaves.
