@Kelly Thanks, always have to try to put a positive spin on bad things. I had photocopies of my license, but it cannot be used as a legal ID at the DMV I found out. Trust me, my wallet needed to be replaced years ago as well, ha.

Good for you for putting a positive spin on it!

A few tips:
-photocopy everything in your wallet, this saved us when my husband thought he lost his wallet (he didn’t).
-Stephanie at Poorer Than You mentioned putting a baby photo in your wallet, it makes the thief less likely to take it.
-keep some cash in a safe place at home for emergencies like this

10 years? Wow. Maybe it’s because I often end up washing hubby’s wallet but his usually last for 3 years.
