The new site was just released and the biggest addition is the savings goals function. I want to quickly explain it further to help everyone out.

The savings goal is a way for users to set up financial goals that they would like to achieve in the future. They could be long or short term goals and for anything they desire such as holiday presents, a car, a computer, a vacation, or whatever goal you desire. Setting up a goal will help you keep track of your savings towards your particular goal helping you stay motivated and committed to reaching it by the date you set.

There are 2 Goals to set up, a Private or Public Goal.

Private

A private goal is just for the user to see. No one else will have any access to the goal. This is your own personal goal that you would like to reach.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Public

By selecting a public goal a user has the option to email out their goal to friends and family requesting help with raising actual funds. Family and friends can then directly contribute money via PayPal, Amazon, or pledge money to help out. They also can view the progress of the goal as well and the whole group can track together. This is also great for organizations who would like to receive funds from multiple people keeping track in one place and having the whole group view how much progress the organization is making with the goal.

Contribute Money

If you would like to help out your friend or family member with raising money towards their goal, its so simple. You can keep track with them and see who contributed and how much. The whole group can track the progress.

After months of hard work and developing improvements after speaking with many of the users about their experiences with BudgetPulse and what they would like to see improved to help them manage their money and analyze data better, the time has come. Tonight we are releasing our next release for a brand new BudgetPulse site.

BudgetPulse will be down from 10 PM EST – 12 AM EST tonight on Tues November 3 as we push the release worldwide for everyone.

Here are a few improvements we have made.

1. Complete new homepage design.

2. Ability to in-line edit when performing a search.

3. Ability to view a running balance when looking at a single account.

But the biggest addition is the new Savings Goals feature.

In the application you will see a tab for “Goals.” This section will allow you to set up private or public short or long term savings goals. Now you can set goals for those financial goals you wish to complete like saving for a car, computer, or that vacation you deserve. Track your progress as you save to reach your goal.

Public goals are completely brand new. You can set up a goal and email it out to your family and friends asking for help with contributions to raise money for your goal. They can then directly contribute money through PayPal, Amazon, or by pledging money which can help you grow your funds and save up money to reach your goals.

This could be great for individuals looking for some additional help raising money for their goals or for teams, clubs, non-profit organizations and more who are looking to raise money from multiple people and now will ahve a place to keep all the money organized and budgeted in one place.

This has been a huge request from our users I have spoken with and we are proud to be able to bring it to you

I look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts and feedback on the new release. Feel free to contact me at support@budgetpulse.com or on Twitter.

Enjoy!

We are just a couple of weeks away from the latest BudgetPulse site update. We have taken a lot of suggestions from the users for this release as we have done in the past and we have been working hard to improve the tool for everyone.

Although our site redesign received a ton of positive responses, there was still some users who had issues with the color scheme because it lacked proper color contrast, and it hurt their eyes. We have worked with a BudgetPulse user to fix this problem and she has helped us redesign the homepage, as well as helped with the overall color scheme.

Here is the first look of the new BudgetPulse Homepage:

For a full look at the homepage in your browser, please click here.

What do you think of the new homepage design and the new color scheme? We would love to hear your thoughts.

Right now the team here is working hard on preparing BudetPulse for our next release. We are targeting for late September and it will be complete with a brand new helpful function (I will discuss at a later date) and tweaks and improvements on the current site, as well as a completely brand new homepage.

Right now the team here is working hard on preparing BudetPulse for our next release. We are targeting for late September and it will be complete with a brand new helpful function (I will discuss at a later date) and tweaks and improvements on the current site, as well as a completely brand new homepage.

We are working on fixing some minor bugs we have found or have been brought to our attention by you. Always trying to fix what’s wrong to make the tool the best it can be for all of you

We have had some minor issues with the graphs, specifically for the Accounts that are created. The graph is not identical to the data present. This is a graphical ever, and has no effect on your data.

In this example you will notice the account was created on August 19th, but the graph shows data on the first of the month. There should not be data there in the graph. The graph should have no data until August 19th.

I just wanted to inform everyone of the minor bug that currently exist and to let you know we are working on fixing this right no.
