Last weekend in August here and hopefully the weather holds out so you can enjoy some fun frugal activities outside.  I went kayaking with the family on the Potomac River last weekend and had a blast, and got a nice little workout out of it as well.  If you are not the active type, grab a book and get some rays as you sit outside reading.  On top of that, here are some great personal finance articles from this past week.

Fiscal Geek wants you to get your mail.  I don’t blame him because everyone loves receiving mail, and yes sometimes even Spam mail as well. Stop Mail Theft Once and for All

Suburban Dollar wants to help teach everyone about debt, and well let’s be honest, we all could use a little bit more learning on the subject. Understanding Debt

Studenomics want to give recent grads some new thinking to traveling after graduation.  I backpacked the Middle East after graduating college and loved it and recommend traveling for anyone if you can. Traveling the World After your College Graduation

Spend on Life informs us that there is a new law coming out that will prevent employers from looking at your credit reports.  I never understood why some employers would do this in the first place.  Guess they will have to stick to facebook now.
